AP Leads the Way in Natural Farming: A Global Model

According to state agriculture minister K. Achannaidu, natural farming in Andhra Pradesh (AP) is setting a global example. He proudly announced that 45 international representatives visited AP to study its natural farming practices. The state is preparing to send champion farmers to countries like Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Zambia, and Rwanda to provide technical support and share their expertise.

Global Interest in AP’s Natural Farming

Minister Achannaidu highlighted that representatives from various countries are eager to understand the science behind natural farming. He emphasized that the AP Rythu Sadhikara Samstha (RYSS) has become a national resource organization recognized for sending Champion Community Resource Persons (CRPs) to 15 states to promote natural farming.

Prestigious Recognition for AP

The AP Community Natural Farming (APCNF) program recently received the prestigious “Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity.” RYSS Executive Vice Chairman & Government Advisor T. Vijay Kumar and Special Chief Secretary of Agriculture Department B. Rajasekhar met Minister Achannaidu in Amaravati to celebrate this achievement.

Historical Initiative by CM Naidu

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu established the RYSS in 2016, prioritizing natural farming. The government’s efforts have positioned AP as a model state for other Indian states and countries worldwide.

Minister Achannaidu commended the representatives of RYSS for their outstanding work and emphasized the importance of natural farming for sustainable agriculture. He acknowledged the significant role of Chief Minister Naidu in initiating and promoting these efforts, which have brought global recognition to AP.
