Statewide Anna Canteens to Launch Soon
Minister Narayana has announced that Anna Canteens will soon be available nationwide. Speaking at the Secretariat, he stated that many of these canteens will be operational by the 10th of next month. He emphasized that all Anna Canteens will follow a uniform model, offering breakfast and meals at just Rs.5.
Ensuring Safe Drinking Water
Addressing the recent outbreak of diarrhoea in the state, Minister Narayana mentioned that over 100 people in Piduguralla have been affected due to contaminated water. He attributed the issue to damaged pipes and assured that repairs are underway to prevent further problems.
Instructions to Municipal Officials
Minister Narayana has clearly instructed municipal officials on maintaining sanitation and properly managing drainage systems. He revealed that Rs. 50 crore has been allocated to 106 municipal corporations for silt removal. He insisted that silt be removed and disposed of within 24 hours to avoid stringent actions.
Preventive Measures During Monsoon
With the monsoon season underway, Minister Narayana advised everyone to boil water before consumption to avoid waterborne diseases. He also mentioned that discussions are ongoing with the Chief Minister regarding the garbage tax issue, and a decision will be made soon.
Minister Narayana’s proactive measures aim to ensure public health and the successful implementation of Anna Canteens, providing affordable meals to the people of the state.
