Kashmir has recently seen a resurgence of terror attacks, causing significant concern. Despite the strong response from security forces, these attacks have resulted in the loss of lives among civilians and soldiers. In light of this, Prime Minister Modi held a high-level meeting to review the security situation.

Resurgence of Terror Attacks

The border districts of Kathua and Doda in Jammu and Kashmir have been experiencing a series of terror attacks. Over the past 32 months, approximately 50 security personnel and civilians have lost their lives in these incidents. In just the last four months, there have been five major terror attacks. The recent attacks have claimed the lives of 12 security personnel, including an Army captain, and 10 civilians while injuring 55 others.

Prime Minister Modi’s Special Meeting

In response to the recent attacks, Prime Minister Modi held a special meeting with the Cabinet Committee on Security. Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and several high-ranking officials attended this meeting. The meeting took place just hours after two soldiers were injured in a terror attack in the Doda district.

Security Measures

Security forces are conducting special operations to neutralize terrorists in the border areas. With reports indicating that numerous terrorists are active in various regions, the security forces are intensifying their efforts to eliminate these threats. Authorities urge residents to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activity to the security forces.

The resurgence of terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir is alarming. While security forces are responding robustly, the loss of civilian lives is tragic. The high-level review of the security situation led by Prime Minister Modi is a step towards ensuring stronger measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
