“Polam Pilusthundi” Program

The state government has launched the “Polam Pilusthundi” (The Field Calls) program, which aims to raise farmers’ awareness of scientific methods and promote Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), soil testing, soil conservation-based fertilizer usage, village-level seed production and seed supply, and necessary agricultural mechanization.

Support for Farmers

Minister Achchennaidu stated that the program’s primary goal is to guide farmers toward achieving higher yields with lower investments. Farmers can enhance their knowledge of new and scientific farming methods through this initiative, thereby improving their agricultural practices.

Supply of Seeds and Fertilizers

The minister assured that special measures are being taken to ensure farmers’ timely availability of essential seeds and fertilizers. He stressed the importance of maintaining complete transparency in these operations to avoid shortcomings.

Awareness at the Village Level

Through various programs, awareness is being raised at the village level to educate farmers about scientific methods, adopt best practices, and provide suitable advice. Achchennaidu emphasized that this approach would yield better results for farmers, reducing investment and increasing yields.
