Technology’s Role in Societal Issues
Chief Minister Reddy pointed out that technology has become a significant factor in the rise of negative behaviors among youth. “If we can keep children away from mobile phones, we can prevent many problems,” he said. He also stressed the importance of a strong family system in combating mental weaknesses in children, noting that joint families contribute significantly to children’s mental resilience.
Importance of Social Policing
Reddy urged the need to mentally prepare children by teaching them social and community policing. “There is a dire need to focus seriously on the eradication of drugs,” he said, adding that schools and colleges should not only teach academic subjects but also moral policing. The Chief Minister emphasized the necessity of having systems in place to observe changes in children’s behavior and suggested the involvement of National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers in schools and colleges.
Government Initiatives and Directives
The Telangana government has established the Telangana Anti-Narcotic Bureau to control drugs and declared a war against drugs. “As your elder brother, I urge you to cooperate in eradicating drugs,” Reddy appealed. He stressed the importance of moral policing systems in educational institutions, similar to those in Kerala, to address all kinds of problems.
Encouraging Sports and Healthy Activities
The state government has decided to promote sports, with plans to set up a stadium in every assembly constituency. “The government will make decisions to encourage athletes in the future,” Reddy announced.
Revanth Reddy, emphasizing the sanctity of being a public representative, shared his journey of focusing on public issues, which brought him to his current position. He encouraged everyone to face problems head-on rather than running away from them and stressed the importance of working with focus to achieve goals.
