Cabinet Sub-Committee Meeting on Farmers’ Assurance
A meeting was held in Wanaparthy to gather opinions on the Farmers’ Assurance Scheme. Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, and other representatives participated in this event. They collected opinions from farmers on how to effectively implement crop assistance.
Government’s Commitment to Public Welfare
The ministers emphasized that state resources and wealth would be utilized for public welfare and state development. With inputs from farmers, scientists, and experts, a clear action plan has been developed to implement the Farmers’ Assurance Scheme.
Assurance for Tenant Farmers
The scheme also recognizes the importance of tenant farmers, ensuring they receive benefits as well. The committee proposed providing quality seeds, fertilizers, and machinery at subsidized rates, along with bonus payments to farmers.
Supporting Farmers Despite Financial Challenges
Despite financial difficulties, the government is committed to supporting farmers and upholding its promises. The ministers reiterated that the Farmers’ Assurance Scheme would provide a safety net for farmers.
Committee members stated that the suggestions and feedback from farmers would be discussed in the legislative assembly, and a final decision would be made accordingly.
