MP Gurumurthy’s Strong Response to Fund Allocation Allegations for Satyavedu

PaperDabba News Desk: July 6, 2024. MP Gurumurthy stated that the allegations of not allocating a single rupee to the Satyavedu constituency are completely unfounded. He emphasized that every requested project was funded, given the rural nature of the constituency.

MP’s Clarification on Fund Allocation

MP Gurumurthy clarified that the allegations of not allocating a single rupee to the Satyavedu constituency are entirely baseless. He highlighted that Satyavedu, being a rural constituency, received significant attention and funding. He mentioned that funds were allocated for every requested project, often based on the recommendations of the local legislators.

Completed and Ongoing Projects

In Satyavedu constituency, numerous projects have been completed, including CC roads and bus shelters. A total of 33 projects were completed with an allocation of Rs. 2 crores and 8 lakhs. Additionally, three projects worth Rs. 38 lakhs are currently in progress. Seventeen projects, with an allocation of Rs. 80 lakhs and 70 thousand, are awaiting approvals. Furthermore, Rs. 1 crore and 20 lakhs were sanctioned for the road construction from Nagalapuram to Chinapanduru.

Negligence in Project Completion by Legislators

Despite funds being sanctioned based on legislators’ recommendations, there has been negligence in completing the projects, Gurumurthy stated. He added that subsequent projects were coordinated and completed to a great extent.

Gurumurthy expressed his gratitude to the people of Satyavedu for electing him with a significant majority, both in the by-elections and the general elections. He assured that he would continue to strive for the development of Satyavedu, remaining accessible to the people and working towards resolving their issues.
