Heavy Rains Expected in Telangana for Next Two Days: Citizens Urged to Stay Alert

Due to a trough persisting in the Bay of Bengal at an altitude of 5.8 kilometers above sea level, these rains are expected to hit the region. People are advised to stay alert in light of this forecast.

Red Alert Issued for Several Districts

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for several districts in Telangana. Heavy rains are expected in districts such as Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Adilabad, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, and Jagtial. Along with heavy rains, winds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour are likely to hit these areas.

Rainfall Across Hyderabad and Surrounding Districts

For the past few days, continuous rains have disrupted daily life, with many citizens growing frustrated due to the unrelenting downpours. This season has seen unprecedented rainfall, with people not having seen the sun for days. Heavy rains have been recorded in Hyderabad and across several districts in the state.

Health Concerns Due to Mosquito Menace

The heavy rains have increased the mosquito population, causing a rise in diseases such as dengue, malaria, and typhoid. Hospitals are reportedly filling up as people seek treatment for these diseases. The state’s Health Department has confirmed that this season has witnessed an alarming surge in infectious diseases.

Government and Authorities Respond to Weather Warnings

In response to the weather forecast, government officials have been ordered to remain on high alert and take all necessary precautionary measures. Instructions have been issued from the Secretariat, urging local authorities to be vigilant in districts where a yellow alert has been issued. The public remains anxious following the latest warnings from the Meteorological Department, as successive low-pressure systems have caused non-stop rain, leading to a growing fear of storms.

The Meteorological Department has advised the public to take appropriate safety measures for the next two days, as more rains and strong winds are expected. Local authorities have been instructed to be on standby to handle any emergencies that may arise from the weather conditions.
