Demolition of Under-Construction YSRCP Office in Tadepalli

Tadepalli: In a significant move, the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials have begun the demolition of the under-construction YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) central office in Tadepalli. The demolition activities started early in the morning at 5:30 AM, under heavy police security, utilizing bulldozers and excavators.

During their tenure in power, the YSRCP had initiated the construction of the party office on a 2-acre plot in Tadepalli. However, CRDA had previously raised objections to the construction, citing it as illegal. Despite the party’s attempt to seek relief from the High Court, asserting that the law should be equally applied to all, the demolition was carried out.

Key Highlights:

  • Violation of Regulations: The CRDA officials stated that the construction of the YSRCP office violated existing regulations, prompting the demolition.
  • Demolition Details: Heavy machinery, including bulldozers and excavators, was deployed for the demolition, which started at 5:30 AM.
  • Lack of Permits: The building was constructed up to the slab level without obtaining the necessary permits, leading to the CRDA’s decision to demolish it.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the leader of the YSR Congress Party, expressed his views on the demolition via Twitter. He criticized Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of resorting to such actions out of political vendetta. Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that the YSRCP had approached the High Court to resolve the issue legally and emphasized that the party would continue to fight for justice and the people’s rights.

He further accused Chandrababu Naidu of attempting to suppress the YSRCP through such demolitions, stressing that no wrongdoing or illegal activity is associated with the YSRCP office construction. Jagan reiterated that the party remains committed to the people and will uphold transparency and governance.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Tweet:

“Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has resorted to another desperate act of demolition. CRDA officials, under heavy police presence, started demolishing the under-construction YSRCP central office in Tadepalli early this morning using bulldozers and excavators. This move is a blatant political vendetta by Naidu, who fears the growing support for YSRCP. Despite CRDA’s previous objections, we had approached the High Court, asserting that everyone is equal before the law. We will continue to fight for justice and uphold the people’s rights.”

The move has sparked reactions from various quarters, with supporters and critics voicing their opinions on the legality and implications of the demolition. The YSRCP supporters claim political vendetta, while opponents argue for strict adherence to the law.

The demolition of the YSRCP office marks a critical moment in Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape, showcasing the CRDA’s commitment to enforcing regulations.
