The Anakapalli minor girl murder case, which created a sensation across the state, took a significant turn. The accused, Suresh, has committed suicide. As suspected by everyone, the accused ended his life. For the past four days, the police had formed 12 teams and launched a manhunt for the accused. However, the challenge for the police was that the accused did not use his phone, making it difficult to trace him. Finally, the body of the accused Suresh was found in Koppugundu Palem, Rambilli Mandal. The police identified the body lying in the surrounding areas of Koppagonda Palem. The police immediately took possession of the body and shifted it to the hospital for post-mortem.
Background of the Case
Anakapalli’s minor girl was harassed by the accused Suresh in the name of love. When she refused his advances, he attacked and killed her with a knife at her home on the 5th of this month. Suresh then fled the scene. In the past, the girl’s parents had lodged a complaint with the police as Suresh had harassed her earlier. Consequently, the police had arrested him. Enraged by his arrest, Suresh, upon being released on bail, brutally murdered the girl, as lamented by the girl’s parents.
Police Investigation
After filing a case regarding this incident, the police worked tirelessly to capture the accused. Based on the letter left by the accused, the police suspected that Suresh might have committed suicide. In his letter, Suresh mentioned, “If together, we should live, or else die.” With this clue, the police intensified their investigation. Additionally, the police announced a cash reward of ₹50,000 for information leading to the accused. Eventually, it appears that Suresh committed suicide as stated in his letter.
