Tollywood is in the spotlight again due to a drug scandal involving Aman Preet Singh, the brother of actress Rakul Preet Singh. Aman was caught consuming drugs, and subsequent tests confirmed his positive status. The police have registered a case against him and are currently investigating further.
Police Crackdown and Arrests
In a significant development, the Narcotics Bureau, along with the Special Operation Team (SOT) of Rajendranagar police, conducted a joint operation. They raided a flat and seized 199 grams of cocaine worth Rs. 35 lakhs. Five individuals were taken into custody, while two others are still at large. Among those arrested is Anuha Blessings from Nigeria, who has been identified as a critical supplier.
Details of the Investigation
Anusha Blessings has reportedly brought drugs from Nigeria 20 times in the last six months. The police have identified 13 individuals who purchased drugs from this gang, with six of them testing positive. This list includes Aman Preet Singh, Ankith, Prasad, Nikhil Thawan, and Madhusudan, who also face charges.
Aman’s Role in the Drug Scandal
DCP Rajendranagar stated that Aman Preet Singh was primarily a user in this drug network. His involvement came to light following the positive drug test. Currently, the police are interrogating Aman and the other accused to gather more information. The investigation aims to uncover further connections and individuals involved in this drug ring.
The police are diligently working to identify everyone associated with this drug racket. The recent arrests have provided significant leads, but the search continues for others who might be involved.
