The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority has issued a warning for moderate to heavy rainfall across the state in the next 24 hours due to a low-pressure area forming over the Bay of Bengal. Various districts are expected to receive significant rainfall.

Weather Forecast for Andhra Pradesh

The low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal is causing light to moderate rainfall across Andhra Pradesh. Several districts are recording rainfall levels as predicted. The rains in Uttarandhra, Coastal, and Rayalaseema districts are considered satisfactory.

Next 24 Hours: Heavy Rainfall Expected

The current weather conditions are expected to persist for another 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall in several areas. The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority has reported that almost all districts will experience rainfall.

Impact of the Low-Pressure Area

Due to the low-pressure area, Northern Andhra, Northern-Central Coast, Southern Coast, coastal districts, agency areas, and Rayalaseema districts are expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours, according to the Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority, Ronanki Kurmanath.

District-wise Rainfall Predictions

In Alluri Sitarama Raju, Kakinada, Ambedkar Konaseema, East Godavari, West Godavari, Eluru, Sri Satya Sai, and Tirupati districts, there is a possibility of heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms.

In Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu, Prakasam, Nellore, Nandyal, Kadapa, Annamayya, Rajampet, and Chittoor districts, light rains with thunderstorms are expected, according to Ronanki Kurmanath.

The State Disaster Management Authority advises residents to stay alert and take necessary precautions. Stay updated with the latest weather reports and follow the guidelines issued by local authorities to ensure safety during this period of heavy rainfall.
