The Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mrs. Vangalapudi Anita, has emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order in the state. She highlighted that any disruption to public safety will be met with strict action, regardless of the individuals involved.
Strict Measures for Public Safety
Mrs Anita stated that no one, including party members or those from specific communities, would be spared if they violated the law. The state government is committed to punishing criminals without considering their affiliations. She emphasized that preserving law and order is paramount, and necessary measures will be taken to uphold it.
Appeal for Restraint and Cooperation
The minister urged the general public, representatives, and activists to exercise restraint and not take the law into their own hands. She called for cooperation with the police to ensure that public life continues without any disturbances. Police protection will be provided to safeguard the lives of ordinary citizens, and everyone is encouraged to support these efforts.
Addressing Crimes Against Minors
Mrs Anita mentioned that a thorough investigation is underway regarding the increasing incidents of sexual assaults on minors. She noted that many of these crimes are committed by close relatives. To tackle this issue, an extraordinary drive will be initiated in collaboration with the Women and Child Welfare, Education, and Police departments. Awareness sessions will be conducted for students and parents to educate them on the causes and prevention of such crimes.
