Ram Charan Reflects on Success and Legacy

Actor Ram Charan recently opened up about his approach to handling success and the expectations of carrying on his father Chiranjeevi’s legacy. In an interview with the Times of India, Charan shared how he navigated the aftermath of the massive success of SS Rajamouli’s RRR.

A Week of Reflection After RRR’s Success

Charan revealed that he did not leave his house for a week following the triumph of RRR. He said, “The good or bad part about me is that I don’t know how to take pressure. In fact, when a movie hasn’t done well, I have had a party. And when RRR became a success, I remember for that one week, I didn’t come out of the house. I was relieved, relaxed and enjoyed family time. So, with me, it’s a contrast.”

Dealing with Pressure

Despite being in the limelight and under constant scrutiny, Charan maintains a unique perspective on pressure. He stated, “I’ve thrown parties when my films failed.” This unconventional approach highlights his ability to stay grounded regardless of his career’s ups and downs.

Embracing the Present

When asked about the pressure of living up to his father’s legendary status, Charan emphasized the importance of living in the moment. “When I see someone like my father in the house, I don’t know how to react to it. I believe what I am doing today and right now is important. I think I do what is right… as a son, father, brother… for that day. And if I can achieve it every day, I think I will achieve it in the years ahead,” he explained.

Upcoming Projects

RRR, which also starred Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn, was a monumental success when it was released in 2022. The film’s music, particularly the song Naatu Naatu, composed by MM Keeravaani with lyrics by Chandrabose, won a Golden Globe and an Oscar in 2023.

Looking ahead, Ram Charan is set to star in Shankar’s Game Changer, featuring Kiara Advani. He is also slated to work on films directed by Sukumar and Buchi Babu Sana, keeping his fans eagerly anticipating his future projects.

Ram Charan’s reflections on success, legacy, and his unique approach to handling pressure provide an insightful glimpse into the mindset of one of India’s most prominent actors.
