MP Srikrishnadevarayulu Urges Solutions for Railway Issues

TDP Parliamentary leader and Narasaraopet MP, Lavoo Srikrishnadevarayulu, met with South Central Railway GM Arun Kumar Jain in Hyderabad today to address various railway issues affecting the Palnadu region. During the meeting, MP Srikrishnadevarayulu submitted a memorandum detailing several requests aimed at improving railway services for the local population.

Vande Bharat Express Stop at Piduguralla

MP Srikrishnadevarayulu requested that the current Vande Bharat Express running from Secunderabad to Tirupati include a stop at Piduguralla station. He emphasized the need for a new Vande Bharat train from Vijayawada to Bangalore with stops at Narasaraopet and Vinukonda to better serve the local commuters.

New Train Services and Station Upgrades

The MP also proposed introducing a new MMTS train service from Peracherla to either Gannavaram or Pedavutapalli to meet the growing demand. He urged the authorities to provide a stop for the Palnadu Super Fast Express at Pedakurapadu station and to extend the Visakhapatnam-Guntur Simhadri Express to Narasaraopet town, which is the district headquarters of Palnadu.

Improvement of Train Coaches and Infrastructure

MP Srikrishnadevarayulu highlighted the success of the Palnadu Super Fast Express, which has been serving the region for 25 years. He requested that the existing coaches be upgraded to meet the standards of the Vande Bharat trains, ensuring a more comfortable and efficient travel experience for the passengers.

Additionally, the MP called for the completion and operationalization of the ongoing ROB and RUB construction projects in the new Palnadu district. He stressed the importance of sanctioning new projects to further enhance the region’s connectivity.

Modernization of Railway Stations

MP Srikrishnadevarayulu urged the South Central Railway GM to modernize the railway stations in Palnadu district, including Narasaraopet, Sattenapalli, Piduguralla, Vinukonda, Macherla, and Nadikudi, under the prestigious Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. These upgrades are expected to significantly improve the facilities and services available to passengers.
