State Minister for Education and IT Nara Lokesh challenged Jagan Mohan ReReddy’stance on the Tirumala declaration tradition. He pointed out how Jagan had faced difficulties after meddling with religious sentiments during the previous elections. Lokesh emphasized that respecting all religions is essential and that it would be better if Jagan followed the tradition of making the declaration when he visited Tirumala.
Allegations on Tirumala Laddu Quality and Other Issues
Lokesh said that during his Yuvagalam Padayatra, devotees brought various issues, including the quality of the Tirumala laddu, to his attention. He further mentioned that a committee was set up to investigate the irregularities in the TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams). “Even YSRCP leaders are now claiming that the quality of Tirumala laddu has improved,” he noted.
We Don’t Run Away Like Jagan!
Lokesh made a sharp remark, saying that they don’t run away from their promises, unlike Jagan. He stated that his party has already fulfilled promises like pensions and the Mega DSC recruitment drive. “We are not hiding behind curtains like Jagan does. We are working with sincerity to implement the promises we made,” Lokesh said firmly.
The Red Book Has Already Started Working
Lokesh revealed that universities were turned into political rehabilitation centers during the previous government’s tenure. His government has started investigations into the irregularities in these institutions. “Those who have violated the law will face consequences. I stand by my word, and the Red Book is already in effect,” he confirmed. Lokesh also highlighted that even IPS officers have been suspended as part of this action.
Strengthening the Education System is Our Goal
Lokesh criticized the YSRCP government for ruining the education sector over the past five years, leading to a drop in the number of students in government schools by 900,000. He emphasized that his government’s main focus is to strengthen schools and improve the quality of education. “We are working according to a plan. Parents, teachers, and public representatives must work together to improve public schools,” he stressed.
These allegations by Lokesh, along with his commitment to strengthen the education system, show the challenges and steps being taken by the current government to rectify past mistakes.
