The Night Manager Trailer Out: Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor-Starrer Promises A Thrilling Spy Flick

New Delhi: The trailer of the remake of ‘The Night Manager’, starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor, and Sobhita Dhulipala, has been released. ‘The Night Manager’ is based on the renowned British spy series of the same name.

‘The Night Manager’s trailer shows a regular hotel employee who enters the dangerous world of a weapons dealer to bring him to justice. He risks much more than just his life, though, as he goes undercover after deciding to accept the task.

Anil Kapoor, who portrays infamous arms dealer Shailendra Rungta, shared the trailer on Twitter.

“A dreaded arms dealer, a night manager and a dangerous game of love and betrayal – it’s showtime! #HotstarSpecials #TheNightManager streaming from 17th Feb only on @disneyplusHS,” he wrote.

The two-minute trailer opens with Aditya struggling his way over a snowy mountain and then switches to Anil Kapoor watching a raging conflict. After that, we witness Aditya’s spy character doing a second job as a hotel’s night manager and finally trying to break into Anil’s family. 

Speaking about his role, Aditya Roy Kapur said,“I have always wanted to perform a multi-layered character in a series with a complex narrative arc, and when the platform approached me to play the title role in The Night Manager, I knew this was just the one I’d been looking for! My character Shaan is the kind of person who can effortlessly make people believe whatever he wants them to, and that perfectly mirrors what we as actors strive to achieve with our craft.”

Oscar-winning director Susanne Bier helmed the six-part British series. Along with Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander, and Elizabeth Debicki, it also stars Tom Hiddleston in the lead role. The series premiered on February 21 in the UK after being adapted from the 1993 John le Carré book.

The drama series will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on February 17.
