District Collector Chadalavada Nagarani emphasized the importance of providing quality education and nutritious food to students in government schools. On Friday afternoon, she conducted a surprise inspection at the Palakoderu Zilla Parishad High School and personally tasted the midday meal, offering several suggestions for improvement.
Better Education and Nutrition
During the visit, Nagarani advised the 10th-grade students to aim for 100% pass results, emphasizing that mastering subjects thoroughly would greatly benefit their future.
Menu Board Inspection
She reviewed the midday meal menu boards and instructed that meals be served to students as per the menu. Given the seasonal diseases during the monsoon, she stressed the importance of children following healthy habits and washing their hands before and after meals.
Monitoring Meal Preparation
Nagarani not only checked if the meals were prepared according to the menu but also closely inspected the served items. She joined the students for a meal, inquiring about the daily prepared dishes. She encouraged all students to have the midday meal at school and recommended the inclusion of eggs, chickpeas, and ragi porridge in their diet.
Hygiene and Health
She instructed that cooking be done with clean water and that drinking water be kept uncontaminated. Due to the monsoon season, she directed Headmaster P. Mahesh Babu to ensure cleanliness around the cooking, serving, and dining areas.

During her visit, District Education Assistant Director Satyanarayana, midday meal district coordinators K. Krishna Rao, G. Chinniya, Mandal Education Officer P. Nagaraju, Deputy Education Officer N. Srinivas, Bhimavaram MEO 2, and CRPs Annapurna and Venkateswara Rao were present.
