Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Sahni Remember Rishi Kapoor On His 70th Birth Anniversary With Heartfelt Posts

New Delhi: Rishi Kapoor is as much loved today as he was when he was before his death in 2020. On the occasion of his 70th birth anniversary, wife and actor shared a goofy picture with her late husband Rishi Kapoor, affectionately called ‘Chintu Ji’ on social media. Rishi Kapoor died in 2020 after battling cancer. The veteran actor would have turned 70 on September 4. Neetu Kapoor captioned the picture, “Happy birthday,” with a heart emoji.  Rishi and Neetu Kapoor’s daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni also commented with a heart emoji and shared a separate post for her father.

On Sunday, Neetu Kapoor shared a picture of Rishi Kapoor in which we see him in a black T-Shirt and oversized glasses while Neetu Kapoor affectionately holds his neck from the front. It looks like the picture is from an older birthday celebration from the time when Rishi Kapoor was alive. 

Many celebs like Soni Razdan, Anaita Shroff Adajania commented on Neetu Kapoor’s post.

In the picture that Riddhima Kapoor shared, we see a garlanded photo of Rishi Kapoor. Riddhima captioned the photo, “In your reflection we live and love… Happy Birthday Papa ❤️.”

Riddhima also shared a picture of her father through her Instagram story and wrote, “We miss you so much especially today but ‘with a cheer, not a tear, in our eye’. Love you, papa,” with a white heart emoji.

Rishi Kapoor battled leukemia (blood cancer) for two years, and died at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai on April 30, 2020. Rishi Kapoor was also in New York for the treatment.

Rishi Raj Kapoor was born into the first family of Bollywood, the Kapoor family. Rishi Kapoor was an actor, director and producer and had worked in many films through the length and breadth of his career. He was also the recipient of many accolades including National Awards and Filmfare awards.
