The Sri Devi Sharannavaratri celebrations have commenced with grandeur at the Mahashakti Temple in Karimnagar. On the festival’s first day, the goddess appeared in the form of Sri Balatripura Sundari, offering divine blessings to thousands of devotees. Many devotees have flocked to the temple, with many lining up to begin their nine-day *Bhavani Diksha*, dedicating themselves to the goddess’s service.
Special arrangements have been made for the devotees, with all poojas and services provided free of cost. Devotees participating in the Bhavani Diksha, wearing the sacred garland, receive special blessings from the goddess. It is noteworthy that many women and young girls have taken up Bhavani Diksha in large numbers this year.
Mahashakti Temple Bustling with Devotees
During the Navaratri festival, the Mahashakti temple in Karimnagar has become a hub of activity with devotees from various regions. Devotees have been arriving to participate in special poojas and receive blessings from the goddess, who appeared in the form of Bala Tripura Sundari on the first day. These grand celebrations will continue until *Vijaya Dashami*, with the goddess appearing in a different avatar daily to bless her devotees.
Unique Attractions at the Festival
As part of the Navaratri celebrations, cultural programs are organized every evening from dusk until late at night. The highlight of the festivities is the Dandiya dance programs, which begin at 9 PM. Thousands of women and children will showcase their talents, entertaining the devotees with colorful performances.
