New Delhi: It’s finally that time of the year when the 10-day long festival, Ganesh Chaturthi, is marked with much pomp and splendour. Every year, hundreds of unique idols of Lord Ganesha grab our attention, with large parts of the country, especially Maharashtra, welcoming Bappa to his mortal abode.

This year, an artist in Maharashtra’s Satara district has come up with a very innovative creation, where the idol of Lord Ganesha actually stands up to offer blessings every time a devotee touches his feet. The video of the idol, that has gone viral on the social media, shows the idol, standing up straight on his throne and giving his blessings every time someone touches his feet.

The video has been posted on Twitter with a caption reading, “This Ganpati idol has been made by the one of the artist of Jila Satara Maharashtra. When u touch feet, the idol stands and put right hand forward to bless.”

This is not the only Ganesha idol that has grabbed eyeballs this year.
