Kadapa, July 10: Ensuring quality education for every student is crucial for achieving 100% results, stated District Collector Lotheti Shivashankar during a surprise inspection of a Zilla Parishad school. He emphasized the need for dedication among teachers to provide the best education to their students.
Collector’s Unannounced Visit to Schools and Public Offices
On Wednesday, District Collector Lotheti Shivashankar, along with local officials, conducted surprise inspections at several places including the Zilla Parishad School, Primary Health Center, Tahsildar Office, and Police Station in Avadhootha Kashinayana Mandal, Narasapuram.
Biology Teacher’s Poor Performance Sparks Collector’s Anger
The Collector first visited the Zilla Parishad School in Narasapuram, where he sat among the tenth-grade students during a biology class taught by teacher Bala Obayya. Observing the teacher’s inadequate teaching methods, the Collector expressed his displeasure and insisted that teachers must be thoroughly prepared before delivering lessons to ensure students understand the material.
Midday Meal Quality Issues Highlighted
During his visit, the Collector interacted with the students to understand their aspirations and encouraged them to work tirelessly towards their goals. Later, he joined the students for their midday meal, where he noted that the potato curry was undercooked. Expressing his anger at the responsible in-charge, he warned that strict action would be taken if proper food is not provided to the children henceforth.
Meeting with Teachers and Emphasis on Preparedness
The Collector held a meeting with the teachers in the staff room to discuss the standards of education being provided. He issued several suggestions on the steps to be taken to improve the quality of education and measures to support students lagging behind academically.
Visits to Other Public Offices
After the school visit, the Collector inspected the Primary Health Center, Tahsildar Office, and Police Station, advising the staff to enhance their efficiency and provide better services to the public without any delays.
In this program, the Zilla Parishad High School Headmaster, Mandal Revenue Officer, Mandal Education Officer, Panchayat Secretary, Sarpanch, and others participated.
