Amitabh Bachchan Was Upset With 'Brahmastra' Director, Warned Karan Johar About A 'Disaster': Report

New Delhi: ‘Brahmastra’ has been making news ever since its promotions began. Now, according to a report, Amitabh Bachchan who essays the role of Guruji in the film at one point of time was ‘very upset’ with Brahmastra’s director Ayan Mukerji while shooting for the film. ‘Brahmastra’ is a multi-starrer film featuring the likes of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy besides Amitabh Bachchan.

A source close to claimed that Amitabh Bachchan was upset while shooting the film due to Ayan’s delayed schedules and reshoots. In fact, Big B had even told Karan Johar that if this continues,’Brahmastra’ would be a total ‘disaster’.

“Amitabh Bachchan who is a very disciplined actor was not very pleased with Ayan Mukerji’s delayed schedules and reshoots. At one point in time, the actor was tired of Ayan and very upset that he even met the producer of the film Karan Johar that Ayan is wasting his time and he should stop investing money in the film as the speed with Ayan is going the film will be a disaster,” the source told BollywoodLife.

However, the source shared the latest development that Amitabh Bachchan was quite hopeful with the film’s result now as it was nearing release. “Right now Amitabh Bachchan is very hopeful that the film works at the box office and every actor has worked very very hard in the film, given their five long years.” the report added.

Recently, as advance bookings for ‘Brahmastra’ opened, the film’s opening and collection has given fans and filmmakers a reason to rejoice.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be paired together for the first time in ‘Brahmastra’. A three-part fantasy epic, ‘Brahmastra’ traces the history of ancient Indian astras and their manifestation in human bodies with the prime ‘Brahma’ astra as the supreme being.

Produced under Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures, and Prime Focus in association with Star Studios, ‘Brahmastra’ is slated to release on September 9, 2022.
