Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha urged people to support weavers by wearing handloom clothes during the festive season. In response to the call from Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s wife, Nara Bhuvaneswari, she encouraged the people of Andhra Pradesh to stand by handloom artisans and contribute to their well-being.
Recognizing the Hard Work of Weavers
Handloom weaving is a vital part of our society, and supporting weavers can significantly improve their livelihoods. Minister Anitha emphasized, “Weavers put immense effort into weaving threads and turning them into beautiful fabrics. It is our collective responsibility to support them by choosing handloom garments, especially during festive occasions.”
Cherishing Our Culture and Traditions
Minister Anitha encouraged people to embrace handloom fabrics, which represent our rich culture and traditions in light of the upcoming festivals. “Along with celebrating festivals with joy and enthusiasm, we must also bring happiness to the homes of handloom weavers who rely on their craft for survival,” she added.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s wife, Nara Bhuvaneswari, recently called upon the public to support handloom weavers. Following her message, Minister Anitha urged the people to “wear handloom clothes and help change the lives of weavers during the festive season.”
“While celebrating festivals with your family, let us also bring joy to the homes of the weavers who depend on handloom for their livelihood,” the Home Minister expressed.
