Fake Gold Biscuits Scam Busted
The Cyberabad SOT police have successfully busted a gang involved in selling fake gold biscuits. The SOT Balanagar team, along with Jeedimetla police, apprehended a group of three individuals who were trying to sell 100 fake gold biscuits as real ones. These culprits were caught in the act, attempting to dupe buyers into purchasing the counterfeit biscuits for a whopping sum of ₹27 lakhs.
SOT Police Action Praised
During the raid, the police managed to save the buyers from losing their money, earning them much appreciation from the victims. The gang, which included Yashala Kameswara Rao from Saraswathi Nagar, Uppal, Vemula Pulla Rao from Gorantla, Guntur, and Bathula Sambasiva Rao from Nagireddy Palem, Bellamkonda, Guntur, had a history of similar fraudulent activities.
Police Investigation Continues
The police are now investigating how many more people might have been deceived by this gang. The swift action by the SOT police has not only brought the culprits to justice but also highlighted the importance of vigilance against such fraudulent schemes.
