MLA Anjaneyulu’s Response to Vinukonda Murder
In the aftermath of the recent murder in Vinukonda, Palnadu district, MLA GV Anjaneyulu has expressed his strong opinions. He criticized the linking of the murder, which occurred due to personal grudges, to political parties. Anjaneyulu accused YSRCP leaders of indulging in what he termed as ‘corpse politics.’ He stated that both the victim, Rashid, and the accused, Jilani, were members of the YSRCP and had criminal backgrounds.
Allegations Against Former MLA Brahmanayudu
Anjaneyulu alleged that the animosity between Rashid and Jilani was fueled by former YSRCP MLA Bolla Brahmanayudu and his follower Khan. He asserted that had strict action been taken when Rashid attacked Jilani’s house, this murder could have been prevented. He further accused Brahmanayudu of promoting illegal activities such as drug trafficking during his tenure, which he believes has led to the current state of lawlessness in the constituency.
Call for Strict Action Against Accused
The MLA urged the police authorities to take stringent action against the culprits involved in this brutal incident. The murder took place in broad daylight at the Vinukonda Check Post Center, where Jilani attacked Rashid with a knife, severing both his hands and ultimately causing his death due to severe injuries.
MLA GV Anjaneyulu emphasized the need for immediate and strict action to prevent such incidents in the future and restore peace in the region.
