MARKET LIVE: Sensex, Nifty turn flat; metals, pvt banks lead; realty slide

Stock market live updates: The key benchmark indices recouped most of their losses, led by a recovery in metaland private banking stocks.

The BSE Sensex was down less than 50 points at 55,730, and the NSE Nifty50 slipped just 3 points to 16,580. The broader markets were also in the red with the BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices down up to 0.5 per cent.

Bajaj Finserv, Ultratech Cement, Asian Paints, Titan, Reliance Industries, and Nestle India shed over 0.5 per cent each, while Tata Steel, Kotak Bank, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank, and Infosys were the top gainers.
