MARKET LIVE: Sensex, Nifty50 off day


The broader markets were outperforming the benchmarks with the BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices rising up to 2.2 per cent.

Sectorally, Metals, Auto, Media and Pharma indices on the Nifty led gains, rising upto 2 per cent. Remaining pockets were also firmly in green. Nifty IT, Realty, Energy and FMCG were other notable gainers.

Among individual stocks, India’s biggest lender, State Bank of India traded over 1 per cent higher after the company reported 41.2 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in net profit at Rs 9,113.5 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 (Q4FY22), driven primarily by a healthy growth in net interest income (NII) and loan book. Besides that, Tata Motors was the top Nifty50 gainer after shares surged 10.29 per cent to Rs 410.60 on the BSE in Friday’s intra-day trade post healthy March quarter results (Q4FY22). READ HERE

Primary market

The Delhivery IPO had been fully subscribed despite challenging market conditions.The issue was subscribed 1.12 times as at 1:10pm, data provided by the BSE showed.The institutional investor portion of the issue was subscribed nearly two times. Other other categories are not yet fully subscribed. READ HERE

Meanwhile, Venus Pipes and Tube’s issue had been subscribed 9.16 times, led by retail investor category that had been subscribed 13.58 times. NII’s portion was subscribed 6.4 times.
