Customers who visited a Woolworths and Chemist Warehouse on Sydney’s northern beaches have been urged to get tested and isolate immediately.
On Thursday health authorities revealed a northern beaches man had tested positive to COVID-19.
His case is still under investigation but is believed to be linked to the Avalon cluster. It will be included in Friday’s numbers.
Anyone who attended the Woolworths Avalon at the dates and times below must get tested and isolate until they get a negative result.
- January 2 between 3.45pm and 4pm.
- January 3 between 12.45pm and 1pm.
- January 4 between 6.30pm and 6.50pm.
- January 5 between 4.45pm and 5pm.
- January 6 between 12.45pm and 1pm.
The same goes for any customers who visited the Avalon Chemist Warehouse on January 3 between 1pm and 1.15pm.
The infected man had been in self-isolation prior to exhibiting symptoms and testing positive, NSW chief health officer Kerry Chant said on Thursday.
“It does highlight that we have that level of community transmission in that northern zone. This is the risk that we want to make sure we tackle very promptly,” she said.
There’s also an alert for Wentworthville’s ChemSave Day & Night Pharmacy.
Anyone there from 10.40am to 10.50am or 9.30pm to 9.40pm on January 3 should get tested and isolate until they get a negative result.
Sydney’s northern beaches “red zone” is due to come out of lockdown on Saturday.
