Shocking footage has emerged of Toni Pearen being bitten on the face by multiple snakes on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here.
The former Australia’s Funniest Home Video Show host was taking part in a challenge alongside comedian Ash Williams and former AFL star Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico on the reality show.
In the Jungle Trivia challenge (which will air on tonight’s episode), the celebs who got an answer wrong had to put their heads into a box filled with different critters.
Footage from tonight’s episode showed Pearen immediately panicked when she saw her box was filled with snakes.
“Oh sh*t! Far out! Oh my god I hate snakes,” Pearen said.
The jungle carpet python’s (non-venomous to humans) stirred when Pearen’s head entered the box, with host Dr Chris Brown saying: “You’re creating a bit of interest there, Toni.”
Within seconds, one of the snakes lunged at Pearen and bit her on the face.
“Oh my god!” she yelled.
The initial bite was followed by two attacks from other snakes in the box.
The hosts were visibly shocked and Julia Morris reminded Pearen that she could say, “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here,” to end the challenge.
But the former soap star bravely powered on.
News.com.au understands Pearen had to receive medical treatment following the challenge which will be aired in full tonight on Channel 10.
Pearen is one of the 10 celebs who have been unveiled on I’m A Celeb so far, with another star set to enter the camp tonight.
I’m A Celeb continues tonight on Channel 10 at 7.30pm
