In a matter of four days, a second person has died on South Australian roads.
A 29-year-old man was driving along Tarlee Road at Kapunda — near popular wine region Barossa Valley, north of Adelaide — when the Ford Sedan left the road and crashed into a tree at about 4.30am on Monday.
The man was the only occupant of the car and died at the scene.
Major Crash officers attended to determine the cause of the crash.
Tarlee Road was closed between Kapunda and Tarlee and will reopen by midday.
The man is the second person to die on SA roads in 2021.
It was only three days ago a 60-year-old cyclist died at Henley Beach, in Adelaide’s west, after he was hit by a car on New Year‘s Day.
The 51-year-old driver of the vehicle was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and aggravated driving without due care.
He was granted bail to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court in February.
