A man has drowned and another person has been rescued after jumping off a waterfall at a popular spot in Sydney’s south.
Divers have recovered a body at a popular swimming spot in Sydney’s south this afternoon.
The man was found at the bottom of the waterfall at Wattamolla during a major rescue operation in the Royal National Park.
Another person was also rescued, a woman who was pulled from the water.
It’s the pair had been jumping from the rock ledge on a day trip.
The Westpac rescue helicopter was used to spot the swimmers about 6.30pm.
The beach spot is popular for people to jump from the 9m cliff despite the warning signs.
The safety measures include signs and safety barriers.
