There’s one date that’s more likely to spell doom for relationships than any other day on the calendar.
And unfortunately for romantics, it’s still yet to come in 2020. According to statisticians, the most common day to break up is December 11.
The second most popular break up time was in March, right after Valentines Day, according to the original data. The statistics were first collected by Information Is Beautiful in 2008.

The statisticians studied relationship status updates on social media, and pointed out the popular break-up date falls exactly two weeks before Christmas.
The festive month is filled with high pressure events, including work related parties, boozy events and family gatherings.
Couples are also faced with the sometimes unfortunate prospect of splitting their time between each other’s families — which for some can be a high pressure situation.
There’s also the pressure of buying gifts for one another, organising holidays, and spending time off with the kids.
