This is the moment a Porsche driver slams on the accelerator and crashes over a wall onto another car while trying to park.

CCTV footage shows the motorist’s disastrous parking fail on a residential street in Manningtree, Essex in the UK yesterday afternoon.

It is thought the driver of the car – believed to be a brand new Porsche Taycan – accidentally hit the accelerator pedal instead of the brakes.

Taycans, which are fully-electric and can cost more than $236,000, rocket from 0-62mph in just 2.8 seconds.

Neighbours rushed outside to help after hearing a “loud crashing noise” on the quiet cul-de-sac, a local resident said.

The local told Sun Online: “I feel sorry for the guy. He was visiting a neighbour of mine.

“I heard it and went to offer some help to make sure he was OK. Luckily, there were no serious injuries.

“I heard it happen, it was a loud crashing noise. He was pretty shaken up. He had a few bumps and bruises, but he was OK.

“He seemed like a really nice, genuine guy and he’d just smashed up his new Porsche.”

A vehicle recovery firm posted a video of the accident on Twitter.

The Porsche driver is seen slowly steering the motor up a driveway.

The Porsche stops briefly before suddenly surging forward and hitting a parked 4×4.

The 4×4 is sent spinning towards a detached house on the road.

But the Porsche surges on, hurtling across a lawn before tumbling from a wall.

It then drives on top of another parked car, sending it flying from the kerb.

The Porsche comes to a stop on its side between a wall and the parked car.

The driver had to clamber out from the passenger side of the Porsche after the crash, with a recovery truck later towing the sports car away.

The driver’s hapless parking attempt was mocked mercilessly on social media.

One person posted: “Driver took launch control, literally.”

Another wrote: “Silent, but deadly.”

And another said: “Pure incompetence.”

And a fourth joked: “Hahahahahahaha. Electricity car mayhem.”

Video of the crash has been viewed thousands of times on YouTube and Twitter.
