A Starbucks’ barista has gotten creative with a black marker to send a cheeky message to a customer.
The woman found the words “secrete message” – with the barista misspelling “secret” – written on her Starbucks takeaway coffee cup with an arrow pointing to the bottom.
Turns out it was a cheeky pick-up line by the barista who wrote the message, reports The Mirror.

The barista took to the cup with the marker and crossed out some of the words on the label’s warning about the contents being hot.
The warning usually reads: “Careful, the beverage you’re about to enjoy is extremely hot”.
After crossing words out, the remaining message was: “Careful … you’re … extremely hot”.
“No you just didn’t Starbuck Steve? WTF,” wrote TikTok user Ashleywilkins28 with a laughing emoji, sharing the pick-up line with her followers.
Ashley was in the coffee shop with her husband at the time, but that didn’t stop her from sharing the message around.
The video she uploaded to TikTok has been viewed more than 1.5 million times.
The customer wrote: “New level of pick up line!” as she said: “Well this happened today.”
Ashley commented that she “didn’t even realise it was spelled wrong cause I was just (mind blown emoji)” after her followers pointed out the spelling error.
She seems to have seen the funny side of the move.
She responded to a comment which said: “Starbucks Steve is smooth” with: “Yeah he is!” and said the pick-up line was “very clever”.
One follower commented: “He does deserve a date if you’re single.”
But his prospects of a date with her are off the cards.
“I’m actually married, funny part is my husband was there with me,” she shared.
