A stash of $13 million has been found at a Port Melbourne property after police discovered a secret drug laboratory in the bayside suburb this week.

Clandestine Laboratory Squad detectives on Friday charged a 29-year-old woman and 33-year-old man – both from Port Melbourne.

The lab – where it’s believed the pair cooked methylamphetamine and stashed cocaine – was discovered on Wednesday.

Police then raided five properties in Port Melbourne and Brunswick West in connection to the lab, where officers seized two vehicles, a handgun, drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The $13 million in cash was seized from a property at Turville Place in Port Melbourne.

The man and woman have each been charged with six charges including dealing with proceeds of crime, trafficking meth and cocaine and possessing an unregistered gun.

They appeared at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court and were remanded to reappear on February 11 next year.
