If the only advent calendar you’re getting this year is a chocolate one then you’re doing Christmas wrong.
Aldi is selling not one, but two wine-themed advent calendars, and like any of its other Special Buys they are sure to be popular.
The discount supermarket chain is bringing back its famous 24 Days of Celebration Wine Advent Calendar that features 24 mini bottles of wine containing enough for a glass each for you and a loved one.
Costing $89.99, this wine calendar has been a consistent bestseller item for the supermarket, with Aldi fans labelling it the “best advent calendar invented”.
This year Aldi has also added a second version, the 12 Nights of Wine Tubes Advent Calendar.
The $49.99 calendar will include 12 100ml tubes of international wines complete with a recommended tasting menu so you can best enjoy each tipple.
Aldi’s wine buyer Jason Bowyer said 12 Nights of Wine Tubes Advent Calendar was a world first for the supermarket chain.
“For such an affordable price, we know this advent calendar will provide our customers with a little daily indulgence during a busy festive season,” he said.
The wine advent calendars aren’t the only ones Aldi are selling this year, with the supermarket bringing back its hugely popular gin and beer versions last week
There is a 24-pack beer advent calendar for $64.99 and a 12 days of ‘craftmas’ pack for $39.99.
There’s also a 12-pack gin collection for $59.99 and a 12-pack gin liqueur option for $49.99, both ideal for counting down those final few days before Chrissy begins.
“The countdown to Christmas is on and to help customers celebrate the festivities, ALDI is toasting the season with the return of our grown-up advent calendars, crackers and liquor gift packs – perfect as a gift for someone special, or as a gift for yourself,” Aldi Australia spokesman, Nicole Higgins, said.
Aldi’s wine advent calendars will hit stores as part of its Special Buys on Wednesday, November 25.
