A light plane has crash-landed on a soccer field in Sydney’s northern beaches, with the pilot and his passenger miraculously escaping serious injury or worse.
The pilot of a light plane and his passenger are lucky to be alive after their aircraft crash-landed on a soccer field in Sydney’s northern beaches.
Emergency services rushed to Cromer Park about 4.30pm on Saturday after reports a light plane had been forced to conduct an emergency landing.
When they arrived, the pilot and his passenger were out of the aircraft and had suffered non life-threatening injuries.
Both were treated at the scene before the pilot was taken by ambulance to Northern Beaches Hospital.
His passenger was flown to Royal North Shore Hospital for a suspected broken leg.
