There is indeed something “in the air tonight.” And it might be Phil Collins’ BO, according to his ex.
In the latest round of his messy split from Orianne Cevey, Cevey has filed court docs claiming the Genesis star doesn’t bathe and that he’s impotent.
In papers lodged on Monday accusing Collins of reneging on his deal to give her half of their $55 million home, Cevey painted Collins, 69, as an addled “hermit” who didn’t wash or brush his teeth for several months,Page Six reports.
Cevey, 46, claimed in the court papers that in 2017 Collins started drinking heavily and popping prescription pills, alleging that he’d often “fall down from the combination of prescription medicines and excessive alcohol”.
She even said that “on multiple occasions, he hit his head when he fell, and checked into hospitals under an alias”.
The papers even say he has “collapsed on stage when performing because he was so impaired he could not stand up”.
She also claimed that by 2019, Collins “became increasingly depressed, withdrawn, abusive and following an operation on his back, increasingly addicted to antidepressants and painkillers”.
“He was incapable of having sex,” the papers claim, “He stopped showering, brushing his teeth and dressing properly (in fact, he did not shower or brush his teeth from 2019 until August 2020 when he vacated)” their home.
She also said that he’s unable to compose songs or record music, and he’s “emotionally and verbally abusive towards Orianne and often ignored the needs of his children”.
Collins’ camp, meanwhile, filed “motion to strike,” claiming that her filing “contains a litany of demonstrably false, immaterial, impertinent, scandalous and scurrilous allegations which have nothing to do with the legal claims in this case”.
The motion adds, “These allegations are included only to further defendants’ plan to deliberately make sensationalised and/or false allegations in an effort to extort money from … Phil Collins.”
Meanwhile, sources told the New York Post that many of her claims are simply not true.
A friend said: “The man has a serious neurological problem that requires him to take daily medication and this means he does fall sometimes on stage.”

“He’s currently in the UK in rehearsals with Genesis,” the source added. “If he was in that much of a state, he would not be able to function.”
The stunning accusations are part of a struggle over the Miami home they shared together.
Cevey and Collins were married from 1999 to 2008, and after their divorce she went on to marry Charles Mejati – only for Cevey and Collins to reunite in 2015.
In the new court docs, she claims before they got back together, the rock icon told her that if she divorced Mejati and gave up her stake in their $27 million estate on Sunset Island in Miami, he would give her half of their new home – and she says that Collins has gone back on that promise.
Collins and Cevey split in July after Cevey sent a text message to Collins saying she had fallen in love – a month later she secretly wed new husband Thomas Bates, 31.
Collins tried to evict the newlyweds, but they’ve now reached an agreement that Cevey and Bates will move out of the house in January. It’s now for sale.
The couple has two teenage sons. Collins is also dad to actress Lily Collins, musician Simon Collins and actress Joely Collins from previous marriages.
