Kate Hudson joined Gwenyth Paltrow on her Goop podcast this week, and the two actresses went into detail about some of their most famous on-screen kisses.
Well, their worst on-screen kisses to be precise.
Interestingly, their worst on-screen kisses happened to be with some of their more famous co-stars, Matthew McConaughey and Robert Downey, Jr.
“Honestly, I feel like I kind of haven’t had the best kissers,” Kate told Gwyneth. “I feel like I should have had better ones.”
Kate starred in both How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days and Fools Gold with Matthew McConaughey.
“Every time I kiss McConaughey, I mean, it’s like there’s just something happening and there’s like snot or wind,” she admitted. “Like when we were kissing, like, in the end of Fool’s Gold, we’re like in the ocean, we had the plane crash, he just had snot all over his face.”
Gwenyth explained why she wasn’t too set on kissing Robert Downey, Jr. However, it was more about their friendship than bodily fluids.
“With Robert, like, when I kissed him, I was like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me,” she recalled. “This is literally like kissing my brother.’”
“Best? Uh … (There’s) so many,” said the actress who has appeared in dozens of TV and film projects throughout her long career. “Maybe Matthew McConaughey.”
Hurley, who dated Australian cricket legend Shane Warne, said she had worked with the Oscar-winning actor on the 1999 flick EdTV, where the two shared several passionate kissing scenes.
Directed by Ron Howard, the film focused on a video store clerk who agrees to have his life filmed by a camera crew for a television show.
“We did a lot of kissing in that one,” Hurley shared with a smile.
Cohen pressed Hurley to reveal the worst kisser she had ever shared the screen with. Unfortunately for curious fans, the actress stopped short of naming her least-favourite person to make out with. However, she still did her best to answer the question, and it wouldn’t take too much investigating to find out who it is.
“I had a German actor I did a movie with,” she said with a grimace.
“We hated each other, and we had to have sort of a sexy scene, and we had to do a lot of snogging, and I didn’t like it.”
She added that the experience was “horrible”.
