Legendary funnyman Steve Martin has taken the mickey out of anti-maskers with a hilarious addition to his own coronavirus face mask.
The Father of the Bride star, 75, confessed on Twitter today – with tongue firmly in cheek – that wearing a mask had left him “anxious and unsettled”.
“I always wear a mask when I go outside. But something about it was leaving me anxious and unsettled. I thought about the problem, addressed it, and here is the solution,” he wrote, alongside a photo of himself masked up:
Whether expertly planned or a happy accident, Twitter cropped the accompanying photo so Martin’s hack was hidden – viewers had to click on the photo to see the hilarious surprise:

Perfect. Martin trended on social media as fans shared the hilarious gag, one even dubbing him a “human antidepressant”.
