A man was allegedly killed by his tenant in Tamil Nadu’s Kanchipuram district. The accused had allegedly slit the throat of his landlord over argument of house rent in Kundrathur area.

A man was allegedly killed by his tenant in Tamil Nadu’s Kanchipuram district. The accused had allegedly slit the throat of his landlord over argument of house rent in Kundrathur area.

The accused has been identified as 21-year-old Ajith, who is a lorry driver by profession.

Ajith and his family were living as tenants at the property of the victim, 50-year-old Gunasekaran.

Ajith and his family, who were living at Gunasekaran’s house, had not paid their rent for the last four months. In order to make them pay the rent, Gunasekaran had disconnected the EB, and water supply to Ajith’s house.

Engraged by this, an inebriated Ajith and Gunasekaran got into an argument, following which Ajith chased Gunasekaran into the street and slit his throat.

Gunasekaran’s body has been taken to Chrompet Government hospital for post-mortem.

The police are investigating the case further.
