Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande met for the first time during the promo shoot of Pavitra Rishta. Sushant talked about their first conversation in this throwback video.

Sushant Singh Rajput is no more but there are innumerable memories that the actor has left behind. Sushant, who rose to fame with Ekta Kapoor’s Pavitra Rishta, which premiered in 2009. The actor quit the show in 2011 to try his luck in Bollywood.
Sushant Singh Rajput was replaced by Hiten Tejwani as Manav Deshmukh on the show but the actor returned as Manav and made his final appearance in the last episode, which was aired on October 25, 2014.
Sushant was quite excited to be back on the sets of Pavitra Rishta. Not just Sushant but Ankita, his then-girlfriend was ecstatic to have him back as Manav. The couple was seen having fun while shooting the final scenes.
Sushant even shared the moment he first met Ankita on the sets. He said, “Mujhe woh bahut vividly yaad hai jab main pehli baar Ankita se mila tha aur humlog promo shoot kar rahe the. Mujhe pata tha ki Ankita udhar se aa rahi hai aur main aise cricket khel raha tha. Aur phir hum filmy style mei takraye the. Aur phir main turn hoke maine bola, ‘Hi, I am Sushant Singh Rajput.”
And Ankita also responded in a similar fashion and said, “Hi, I am Ankita Lokhande.”
Sushant and Ankita’s love blossomed while working on Pavitra Rishta. The couple were in a relationship for six years before they called it quits in 2016.
In the last episode, during Archana and Manav’s granddaughter Ankita’s wedding, Archana gets a call about Manav’s accident. Both Manav and Archana die and their souls unite. Both Ankita and Sushant were seen in the clothes that Archana and Manav wore when the show had just started. The scene was similar to the title track where Archana’s dupatta flies and Manav’s face is revealed. Sushant returned for this final scene, which culminated the show.
