After several hours of specialist police and negotiators speaking with a man and woman inside a house on Atrium Way, Everton Hills, the siege ended at around 10.30am on Sunday.

Police were first called to the property at 3am and three hours later an emergency declaration was announced.

Local residents in Everton Hills were urged to remain in their homes. while police dealt with the situation.
