Eleven fresh cases of Covid-19 which included a 23-day-old baby were reported in Manipur on Wednesday. With the new cases, the state tally increased to 20.

Confirming the report, Manipur Health department Additional Director and Spokesperson Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang said out of the 11 new patients, six are males including a 23-day-old baby and five are females.

“They were tested at Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL), Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) and found positive for Covid-19. Nine of them returned to the state from Chennai and two persons returned from Delhi and Guwahati. The total number of positive cases in the state has increased to 20 and two patients were discharged from hospital,” the Manipur Health department official said.
