Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has kickstarted the post-production work of his upcoming big-budget flick, Master. The action-entertainer features Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanlal, Andrea Jeremiah, Arjun Das and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in the lead roles.
The filmmaker took to his Instagram page to share a photo of himself from a studio in Adyar, Chennai. He captioned the photo as, “Go ahead, make my day #MASTER #POSTPRODUCTION (sic).”
The Tamil Nadu government recently announced that the Tamil film industry can resume post-production works from May 11 after taking necessary precautions. According to the government order, the studios across the state will be disinfected every day.
In addition, the technical crew, who are working in the studio, have been asked to wear masks and practise social distancing. As soon as Lokesh Kanagaraj posted the photo, fans descended on the comments section and requested him to share an update regarding Master.
Apart from Master, post-production works of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2, Vijay Sethupathi’s Ka Pae Ranasingam and several other films have begun.
Master, produced by Xavier Britto, was supposed to hit the theatres on April 9 worldwide. However, the film had to be postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Now, rumours are rife that the film might release in the theatres on Diwali this year.
