Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that Rahul Gandhi should see the functioning of Congress state governments before attacking the Centre through videos.
Harsimrat Badal also attacked the Punjab government saying that it has been socially distant for the past three years.
Union Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Badal trained her guns on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at e-Agenda Aaj Tak.
According to Harsimrat Badal, while Rahul Gandhi has been releasing videos every day questioning the Modi government during the Covid-19 lockdown, he can “never be the prime minister of the country”.
She said before advising the Centre, Gandhi should ask Congress states why they are not distributing the food grains stored in their godowns among the public.
Badal alleged that May has come but Congress-led Punjab government has not even distributed April’s ration to people.
“Hence, Rahul Gandhi does not need to act as the nation’s leader, he should see his own state governments,” she said.
Harsimrat Badal also attacked the Punjab government saying that the Captain Amarinder Singh cabinet has been socially distant for the past three years. “They are taking the benefit of coronavirus and their ministers are sitting in farmhouses,” she said.
Harsimrat Kaur Badal also said that 70,000 metric ton ration sent by the Centre has been lying in Punjab warehouses since one-and-a-half months but only 1 per cent of the state’s population has received rations so far.
