Yogi Adityanath meets PM Modi in Delhi, briefs him over Bulandshahr violence

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Prime Minister Narendra Modi late on Thursday in New Delhi. The details of the meeting, which was held at PM Modi’s official residence 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, is yet to be revealed, however, sources in the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said that CM Yogi invited PM Modi for the ‘Ardh-Kumbh’ to be held in Allahabad beginning next month.

According to sources, the Uttar Pradesh CM also briefed PM Modi about Bulandshahr violence. Two people including a police inspector Subodh Kumar Singh were killed in the mob violence on Monday.

Earlier in the day, family members of the killed cop met CM yogi in Lucknow. The CM announced a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the family and assured them of justice in the case.

Besides, assuring them all help, Adityanath said his government would not only take full responsibility of their education loans but would also give a government job to one of the family members.

The inspector was hit by a stone and then shot dead in a violence on Monday which erupted after cow vigilantes blocked a main road alleging cow slaughter.
