C R Patil had earlier campaigned in Bihar polls.
BJP MP C R Patil has been given the responsibility to campaign for the party in several districts in Madhya Pradesh for the upcoming Assembly elections, scheduled on November 28.
BJP sources said that Patil, an MP from Navsari constituency, will leave for Madhya Pradesh along with his supporters on Monday.
Patil, who is known as a strategist, had earlier campaigned for the BJP in Bihar and Karnataka Assembly elections. He will work for 16 seats in the state — four each in Barwani and Khandwa, two in Burhanpur and six in Khargone. Patil had already visited the constituencies in MP a few days ago to take stock of things.
Talking to The Sunday Express, Patil said: “I am thankful to the party’s top leaders that they considered my work earlier in Bihar and Karnataka (Assembly elections). This time a new challenge has been given to me in
MP and I am confident that I will work accordingly for the BJP’s victory.”
He further added, “I have made a list of my team members who will visit the constituencies given to me and work independently as well as in coordination with the local BJP leaders there and make the party win in all the 16 seats.”
Patil said: “Our work is to find out the areas in which the party is weak. We have to cover those areas and make the party strong so that our candidates get votes. We will show the voters the Gujarat model of development.”
