Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrashekar Rao will launch a high-voltage campaign from Gajwel constituency on Monday as he seeks to return to power for the second time after the creation of the state.

He is set to meet TRS activists from Gajwel constituency on Sunday and chalk out his campaign programme there. Nearly 15,000 activists are likely to attend the meeting, which will be held at KCR’s farmhouse at Erravelli.

The TRS chief will take stock of the campaign that has been started by local leaders in his constituency and discuss a strategy to campaign in Gajwel, including holding roadshows. He is likely to discuss options to placate angry residents of two villagers in his constituency, who are set to be ousted due to irrigation projects.

On Saturday, he visited Divya Sanketam Jeeyar Integrated Vedic Academy at Shamshabad to offer prayers and seek blessings from Chinna Jeeyar Swami.

KCR will also issue B-forms to TRS candidates at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad on Sunday, a day before the filing of nominations begins on November 12. A party leader said, “TRS will be the first to issue B-forms, when the Congress-TDP alliance and the BJP are yet to decide their candidates.

We are way ahead in the poll battle. In the meeting with candidates, KCR will discuss poll strategy, campaign expenses, slogans, etc. A poll schedule for all star campaigners will also be decided, There will be roadshows in cities and major towns.”

Sources said KCR will ride choppers to cover three to four constituencies every day to cover as many as possible till the campaign ends on December 5 and the state goes to polls on December 7. KCR is likely to address over 75 public meetings in the next 25 days.
